DIY Infinity Cubes

Thank you to everyone that watched the MakerCraft LIVE! video on making your own Infinity Fidget cube. 
Supplies:

 - (8) cubes (wood, plastic, etc.)
      * 3/4 Inch cubes were used in the video
 - Duct Tape
      * Fun tape can make cube more colorful
 - Scissors
 - Infinity Cube Story Template Page (Optional)
 - Glue or double-sided Tape (Optional for adhering story template)

Directions:
1. Place your cubes in a set of two rows of (4) cubes right next to each other.  Using four pieces of duct tape, tape the cubes into four groups of (2) cubes. (2) Top-Left, (2) Top-Right, (2) Bottom Left, (2) Bottom Right





2. Turn the entire set on it's side and use one piece of duct tape to connect to middle (2) cubes together.  Repeat on other side.





3. Lay your set of cube so that the first step is laying face down on the surface.  Use two pieces of duct tape to connect the cubes vertically on the ends.  Top-left to bottom-left and top-right to bottom-right






4. Move your cubes into the step one position. Fold the set of cubes connected on the top and bottom back to expose the next section.   Use two pieces of duct tape to connect the cubes vertically on the ends.  Top-left to bottom-left and top-right to bottom-right. (Just like step 3) 



5. Continue to flip your infinity cube in order to see where the duct tape is exposed.  Every time you see the back side of tape, place a piece of duct tape there to reinforce the area. Flip through a few times to make sure you have every section reinforced.





 6.  (Optional)  Once your infinity cube is assembled, you can add a picture or story telling element to the cube.  The Creation Station has created a template that can be used with 3/4" cubes.  The template is available on our MakerSpace Camp webpage. If you need a larger template, remember these configurations:
  •  First Position: 2 x 4 Horizontal Rectangle
  •  Second Position: 2 x 4 Horizonal Rectangle
  •  Third Position: (2) 2 x 2 Squares
  •  Fourth Position: 4 x 2 Vertical Rectangle
  •  Fifth Position: 4 x 2 Vertical Rectangle
  •  Sixth Position: (2) 2 x 2 Squares

     

   Once your template is finished being drawn and colored, cut out each square and glue or tape the design to your cube.  For fun, take a book and try to illustrate the story on your infinity cube.

Matcha Sugar Cookies Transcript/Recipe

Matcha Sugar Cookies INGREDIENTS: 2 1/4 Cups All-Purpose Flour (In our recipe we used a 1-to-1 Gluten-free flour replacement) [11 1/4 oz.] 1 teaspoon Baking Powder 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda 1/2 teaspoon Salt 1 tablespoon (or more to taste) Unsweetened Matcha Tea Powder 2 oz. Cream Cheese , softened and segmented. 6 tablespoons unsalted Butter , melted and liquid 1 Large Egg 1 Tablespoon Milk 1/3 Cup Vegetable oil 1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar, plus extra for doughball rolling [10 1/2 oz.] 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Pre-Heat Oven to 350F.  Gather baking sheets and line with parchment paper.
